PTA Reflections Art Contest

Update: Flocktown's Madeleine Boyd is selected as a finalist in Morris County's Reflections program.  Her literature entry will continue on to the New Jersey PTA Reflections competition.  Congratulations and good luck, Madeleine!

Students in grades K-5 created original artwork in one of six art categories that illustrates this year's theme,

"The Magic of a Moment."

The Flocktown-Kossmann PTA is proud to announce the winners of the Fall 2012 Reflections Achievement in the Arts Program.  Participants and winners were recognized at the Annual Giving Tree Ceremonies held on December 14, 2012 at Flocktown & Kossmann schools.

Friday, June 14th

Wanted 3rd & 4th Grade Parent Help  

Your 3rd &4th grade room parents are in need of parent volunteers to help plan the field day which is scheduled for Friday, June 14th with a raindate of Monday, June 17th. This is a fantastic event for the children but it can't be done without the volunteer help of our parents.  Please take a look at the positions below and consider helping.  Please contact Mrs. Summers directly at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Field Day Coordinator - Committee head to liaison between Mrs Summers, teachers and room parents to ensure that all is prepared for the event.  This volunteer will be in charge of holding meetings prior to the event with all coordinators and making sure that some of the critical supplies are in place including tables, tents, wagons, coolers and music.

Games Coordinator - Committee member that will ensure all games are available in the shed and organize each game station on the day of the event.  This volunteer, with assistance, will mark the field with numbered flags identifying each game station on the day of the event.

T-shirt Coordinator - Committee member will liaison with Mrs. Summers regarding t-shirt order and handling the distribution.  This volunteer will organize the material and dowel for each class to prepare their class flag.

Poster Coordinator - Committee member will prepare a poster/banner which includes field day theme for the children to hold as they process out onto the field.

Schedule Coordinator - Committee member will liaison between all room parents to create a schedule of volunteers for the event.  

The PTA sponsored Flocktown School Store is now offering School Store Birthday Coupons. Since our school district is now asking that parents send in non-food treats for their child's birthday, the birthday coupon is a great option. You can now order birthday coupons for the class to be used at the store which is held once a month.

Placing an order is as simple as filling out the order form below and sending in a check for the amount due. The PTA will provide the coupons to be personalized by the parent. After your order has been processed, you will receive the coupons via your child's backpack. The coupons can only be purchased at a value of $.50 each per child.
